The main work tasks of the Qinchuangyuan innovation-driven platform – the largest incubator for the practical application of scientific and technological research in Northwest China's Shaanxi province – were recently clarified.

The platform's general window has been set up in the Western China Science and Technology Innovation Harbor of Xi'an Jiaotong University and Xixian New Area, a national development zone co-built by Xi'an and Xianyang.

Shaanxi will support the construction of six accelerators for the practical application of scientific and technological research, construct 10 common technology R&D platforms, and build 30 platforms developed by enterprises, colleges and institutes and new R&D institutions.

This year, the number of high-tech small and medium-sized enterprises in the province should reach 14,000, the number of high-tech enterprises should exceed 10,000, more than 200 gazelle enterprises should be recognized, and 12 enterprises of various types should be listed.

In addition, 50 incubation carriers and service institutions of various types should be created or brought into the province.

Shaanxi will also enlarge and strengthen the scale of the Qinchuangyuan investment fund and develop and expand angel investment, venture capital and development investment in the whole life cycle of technology enterprises.
